Use the integrated Strategy Guide. Rated 5 out of5 byKimmycoo fromWOW, just a great game!!
I loved everything about this game.I loved the scenery-just breathtaking in some locations.I loved the music, it was not repetitive or boring, it was spot on.I loved the HOScenes, fantastic, I loved the mini games and they were all full of fun.I must say I especially loved this Collectors Edition for the fact of the replay value. I loved the bonus game and the Secret Room-that was a lot of fun. I loved collecting all of the portraits for the Collectors Room. I missed one and was so mad at myself, as there is no reason to miss those because it has an incorporated Strategy Guide.I liked the Achievements room as well. I like when achievements are put into a room of their own and you earn objects that count as your achievements. For instance you found '5 hidden objects in 5 seconds', so you earned the vase of flowers in the achievements room.
I love when developers take the time to create these rooms. It is the only reason I buy Collector Editions period. Unless it has 20 desktop backgrounds that you can SAVE and music you can download along with screensavers. All of which were in this CE with the exception of the Screen Saver.Loved this game and it is deff worth paying for the CE!. Inspired by Sherlock Holmes but with a supernatural theme. The player controlled character is like a Watson to James' Holmes and as usual, James orders you around and you do all the work.

With a lot of ground to cover, the interactive map is helpful.Great addition to add to my Haunted Hotel Collection!Awesome job, Developers and thank you BFG!Enjoy! The fifth(?) game in the Haunted Hotel series by Elephant Games-I have a Haunted Hotel game but wasnt particularly impressed with it that when this one came out I was skeptical. But when I saw that this time EG is the one developing this game, I think I had to give this game a try. This game definitely has EG characteristics: great graphics, nice VO. For storyline, EG likes to make detective games so this one is, too. Install linux on flash disk. The plot is not so original, you're investigating monsters which occupying a hotel, thus it is haunted. I dont think this game has particular relation with previous Haunted Hotel games so you dont have to worry about missing out a story.Map is very useful, with clearly defined colors to mark active areas.
Hints however is the usual 'telling instead of showing' which I dislike as a beginner. The bonus contents are the usual, and these days EG like to incorporate 'Secret Room' in their extras and this one is no exception. It's like an extra chapter to finish, with around 20-30 minutes of gametime, which is good!
Rated 5 out of5 byMixailV fromA must have! Evaluation after playing the demo version - great game as far as I can say now, just played a few minutes and felt right in the middle of the story, curious about what will happen and what will to be done next.Clear graphics and a sound which is not as soul-destroying like some other game music.Hint button refills fast, the map on the right side allows to jump later on in the game (great!).Nice cut scenes, can not say a lot about the HOS I found so far, the objects are clear and easy to find.Happy gaming to all fishies! I am now off to play this game. Rated 5 out of5 bybobbysian23 fromLove Love Love! This is an awesome game from Elephant games!
How anyone could give this a low rating is beyond me. I'm sure some people just give low ratings for a joke. You can't be a true Big Fisher if you give this anything less than 4 stars.Storyline is about two cults that are fighting against each other, not sure why in a hotel though. Good cut scenes and a nice opening.
Proper voice overs rather than just text to read. Gameplay is quick and smooth, and there's loads of areas to investigate. There's six chapters plus the bonus. I'm only just over half way through and I've been going for 3 hours already so looking like a good long game. There's three difficulties to choose from, a lockable inventory (a must for me!), strategy guide and the usual hint and skip buttons. There's no real note book, but you do have a book that logs interesting items throughout the game. Not too many HOS which is good. Hate it when a game is crammed full of them as it distracts from the gameplay.
Items are hidden at a good difficulty level; not too easy but not too hard, and there's some interaction in the HOS as well. The only bad point, if I have to pick one, is that the puzzles are slightly easy. I haven't skipped any and have completed them rather quickly. However, who wants to be stuck for hours on an impossible puzzle anyway. Not me!Extras: Bonus gameplay, wallpapers, concept art, music, etc.
Haunted Hotel The Evil Inside
There's 15 portraits to collect, and several achievements.I bought this game after just 10 minutes. First game I've thoroughly enjoyed for a while.and I've still got lots to do! Rated 5 out of5 byjmcbeauty fromWHAT A GREAT HALLOWEEN GAME Elephant Games has done another fantastic game.
The storyline grabbed me. James is a detective who calls you to help him to solve cases that seem to have supernatural problems. In this case, The Final Hotel seems to be hosting a battle of the monsters. A vampire has been staked and a werewolf has been slain by a silver sword. Found a book in one of the mini games that explains that two best friends had a falling out and became more concerned who could best the other. This story seems to be related to what is happening at the hotel.
How will it all turn out? There are three levels of difficulty which include casual, advanced and hardcore. According to the Strategy Guide there are 6 chapters, while the demo covers 2. There is also the Bonus Chapter under the extras along with the norm: Wallpaper, Concept Art, Music. But also included in the achievements room with about 16 achievements, 15 collectible portraits who include the vampire, the werewolf and the voodoo king. There is also a secret room that cannot be accessed until full version is purchased.Being an Elephant Game, the art is beautiful, crisp and well done. I was a little confused though why the voiceovers were written and not lip synced, I thought they were past that. But the voices themselves were well done.
The music was there but phased it out and the effects sounds were excellent. The hos scenes were typical and list only on the ones I played with interactive items to be found. The mini games were simple, but fit the use.
The map was interactive, so jumping was good for the running back and forth. Also, the hint button filled in a decent amount of time and could be used outside of the hos where it specifically told you what to do.I haven't played the other Haunted Hotel games so have nothing to compare to, but I loved the game and will buy cause it's two for one weekend. Need to try to see if it is a game for you.
