I am a law student and there are a number of govt publications available in PDF that I would like to import and include as part of my bookshelf.A. Thank you for using Vitalsource Bookshelf. Acrobat has no good tools to do this within Acrobat, it's not an image editor. What you need to do is select ToolsContent EditingEdit Text&Images, then right-click on the image in question and select to 'Edit Using.' And then pick an image editor.
