Naza Ria Manual Book
Posted : admin On 26.01.202011th Mar 2008, 01:14I have just bought the Naza Ria SG version and got to drive it on 6 March first time! Indeed for a RM91K MPV (Special offer in Feb) it feels really luxurious, very comfortable and stable.
Before buying this car, I have got my personal advise from my brother-in-law who is a very senior person at Naza. This is what he got to say:1. Prefer buying the SG because there's no tweaking work done on the car.2. When starting the engine, NEVER ram the engine because the piston is steel while the body is aluminum.
Both have different warming characteristic. Let them both warm-up slowly.3. Please change the T-Pipe cause the original always gave ways and this is the cause of overheating.4. As mentioned by the rest, always use FULLY SYNTHETIC oil. Semi or non-synthetic may damage the engine (V6).5.
Always observe your service schedule by authorise service centres.Hope these few pointers help. Happy driving. 17th Feb 2010, 09:59Dear Friends.I had read all the comments about how to take care of Naza cars, and what are the things that you should change in-order to prevent overheated or any unwanted things occurred to our cars. I very sad to say this actually, how many of you (owners) understand your 'consumer rights'.Do you know that, at the moment you modify, anything in the car engine, your warranty expires immediately.
Please I advise you do not do this. Yes, I understand the problem that Naza Ria cars have with the major problem that is engine overheated, which leads you to 7K to 10K to repair cost.I'm a Naza Ria SE owner, after 2 days of major service of car (40,000KM) my car broke-down in the middle of the road (engine overheated), where my coolant tank was empty and the coolant mixed with the engine oil. After few arguments with NAZA SERVICE CENTER, they agreed to change my engine with the reasons 'Manufacturing Defect' and also under warranty (2 months more to due my warranty period). They changed 1 complete engine, and on top of that they charge me the engine oil, filter and so on with cost RM2,.I asked them only one question, 2 days before I had my major service, and I want them to put back that oil back inside.
They said that the oil is mixed with coolant. I asked them, is it my problem?
They said according to the “warranty book” state all consumable things are not covered under warranty (check your book).Yes, I paid after 1 week of my car in the service center. 12th May 2010, 23:27I bought a Naza Ria in August 2005.
Its showtime!tot31,I hope you keep complete record all the conversation you made with Naza;who you spoke to, name, contact, time, date and etc. This is important ifwe were to file a report against them.I'm surprised to read that, Naza asked you to proceed with filing areport??
Wow!tot31, before you do that, give two days (till tomorrow - 23/12). I willcall up this guy at Naza HQ. He is incharge of Naza branches all overMalaysia as well as Customer Service. My attempt to speak with him oncefailed, but now I guess its necessary for him to spend time to hear toour concerns.Chips,Can you give your advice on this??
Honda Manual Book
Guys,I know I dun belong here but I oso owns 2 Kia models. A Spectra andCarens. Moves U guys suggested is good but we have to realize that it isa general statement and they never said specifically any parts where thewarranty is void.I know the reason for them going strict on this bcoz there was a case onCarens where this Datuk bought the Carens for his 2nd Wife and did thealarm thing at outside shop and the electrical circuit burnt. He took thecar to claim for warranty but I guess since they did not make anystatements b4, they are liable to warrant the change. The statements are very general, it doesn't mean it you do tinting towindow and then your Computer Box koyak, the warranty is void. It doesn'thave anything to do with the computer box.
Unless they equipped thewindow with sensor which can cause the computer box jahanam.Dun get panick for a very simple statement such as that. With a verygeneral statement comes bigger liability for them. If they think withthat general statement can protect them so sorry they are wrong. Courtsnowadays refers to cause and effects not to any generalised statementssuch as that. They know about this but I guess they are far more comfortable with suchstatement then it is their problem. I am not a lawyer but a personworking in the Reinsurance Industry.
One of my main function is interpretletter of law or legal documents. Has been in this profession for 12years now. Warranty is a form of Insurance so I guess it is about thesame only different. If you installed a different rims as aginst to the recommended stock andif your engine koyak.they can't deny warranty to it. Unless they canprove due to the Engine koyak bcoz of the change to non recommended rims.Which is totally ridiculous. So, B4 we make a fool of ourselves study the reasoning behind why theymake the statements and whether we have a strong base to fight over alosing battle.I hope U guys will reconsider my 2 cents thought.
Tot31, are you still going to consult your lawyer for his opinion on thewarranty voidance issue, as well as the car alarm issue? Please keep usupdated if you do.In your second paragraph your SA is probably telling you stories to scareyou into parting with RM2400. This is the bane of Malaysian society, profit through lies, and many are gullible enough, or too timid, to fallfor it. ManB raised some reinforcing points, thanks, and he, though not alawyer, is in the position to interpret similar circumstances. Also which page is it stated 'Dealers will void the car warranty it isstated clearly in the owners manual.' Did I miss it?Me, I am going ahead with Brightcool and alarm system outside of Naza. Ifand when the situation warrants it in the future I will take Naza to theConsumer Tribunal. Tot31,My interpretation is that person is trying to scare you off by making upstories.

The guy in the accessories dept also create the same story to mebut when I asked him if a woman went for a hair do can she sue the sameperson for the big boobs that failed. These people need to be learned and we have to fight back in words notletters then they will get scared and they won't fool you around. The sameperson told me well if you want your warranty to be void go ahead and Itold him can you put this black and white he can't bcoz he knew he make afalse statement. It is just a selling gimmick and I dun fall for it.There was once when I owned an Iswara where after 3rd service I wentoutside service and they void my warranty. Manual did not say if I dun doservice warranty void and I was asking them to change the headlight cozwater seeping in. What does service have got to do with headlightswarranty? I fought and I won. That time no Consumer Tribunal but Ithreatened to go to court and I have to teach them to read the manual. We need to be hard headed when dealing with these people and we must behead strong.
